LOUIE
'THE FULLER BRUSH MAN'
ALLAN

WINTER HAVEN - Louie Emmanuel Allan of Winter Haven, FL passed away peacefully next to his wife and family members on May 3, 2018 at Winter Haven's Life Care Center.
He grew up in Buffalo, NY. Shortly after service in the Korean War, he met his future wife, Patricia Fayette Adams. They married in 1956; in 1963, they settled in Winter Haven to raise their children.
Louie sold door-to-door for the Fuller Brush Company for over 50 years. In particular, he loved the relationships developed with his customers. Louie quickly gained a reputation in Polk County as being thrifty and always on the go. At 83, he stopped selling to care for his wife.
Louie was active in the community as a dedicated parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Pat, and four children Michelle, Jay, Shawn and Kelly.
The family would like to express their immense gratitude for the staff at Life Care and Compassionate Care Hospice, who provided exceptional care and support to Louie and his family.
A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Chapel in Winter Haven on May 19th at 11:00 am. He requested that everyone dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, Louie requested that memorial contributions be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #4726. Proceeds will be donated to their partner charities.
