LAKELAND - Louie Harry Hinman, 80, formerly of Lakeland, passed away in Melbourne, FL, Nov. 17, due to lung cancer.
Mr. Hinman retired in 1987 from Publix Supermarkets where he had worked nearly 30 years. He was the meat department manager working in Lakeland, Winter Haven, and Melbourne, where he retired. He spent part of his retirement in Polk City before returning to the Melbourne area. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner, belonging to the F & AM Lodge 91 in Lakeland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Merlene in 2003, and is survived by a son, Donald and his wife Marsha, two daughters Brenda Aitken and husband Tom, and Joyce Fowler; ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr., Lakeland on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 12:00 noon, with burial to follow at Mt. Enon Cemetery, Plant City. Friends are invited to arrive at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 am.
