Marguerite Erickson Obituary

LAKE WALES - Marguerite Alta (Marge) Erickson, age 70, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away peacefully with family at her side Friday, February 25, 2011 due to COPD.
She was born in Milwaukee, WI, November 13, 1940 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Edna (Bashford) Tate. Marge was a life member of the VFW Ladies Aux. Post 4289 where she received numerous awards for Cancer Aid and Research.
Marge is survived by her husband, of 52 years, James Erickson, Sr., daughters Cynthia Anne Gramlich and husband Kenneth of Middletown, PA, and Debra Jean Boone and husband Randall of Mobile, AL, son James George Erickson, Jr., of Mobile AL, grandchildren Randall, Melissa, Ryan and Christine, great grandchildren Kaeden, Blakely and Aldora.
Memorial Services will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the VFW.

MARGE WAS SO NICE TO EVERYONE. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE. SHE WORKED HARD AND PLAYED HARD! WE SHARED MANY FUN TIMES. I CAME TO RESPECT AND LOVE HER AS A FRIEND AND AUXILIARY SISTER.
I AM SORRY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY LOST SUCH A WONDERFUL LADY. I HOPE THE MANY MEMORIES OF YOUR LIVES TOGETHER CAN HELP YOU THROUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME

Our sympathy to Jim and family. Marge was a very sweet and kind hearted person. Even when she felt bad she always smiled and kept going. Her heart was truly into raising money for cancer aid and research. She will be greatly missed at our local VFW club.
