McARTHUR, 88
LAKELAND - Milton Patrick 'Pat' McArthur, 88, of Lakeland passed away peacefully on June 29, 2015.
He was born in Bascom, FL, and graduated from FSU with a degree in Geology.
His career in the phosphate industry for over 35 years included positions at Davidson Chemical Co., W.R. Grace & Co. and culminated as VP and GM for Occidental Chemical Co. in Lake City.
He and his wife of 47 years, Myra, then moved back to Lakeland and enjoyed an active life with many close friends and family before Myra passed away in 1997.
His life did not stand still, however, as he enjoyed all that life offered with growing grandchildren, old friends and new ones.
Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Myra, and his brother Jimmy McArthur.
He is survived by his daughter Phala McArthur Amey Dayton , Bradenton, FL, daughter Amy McArthur Hester Ben , Columbus, OH, four grandchildren, Erin Amey Chris Killoran , Cameron Amey fiancée Allie Mazzia , Caitlin Smith Evan and Maggie Hester; brother Mike Mc-Arthur; sisters Mary Lou Hughes, Bessie Nieto, Lelia Wolfe; and many others in a large extended family.
Visitation will be Saturday July 4, 11am - 1pm at Pat's home at 6712 Crews Wood Lane, Lakeland, followed by a private family service at 2pm in the Memorial Garden at First Presbyterian Church Lakeland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Advent Christian Village, P.O. Box 4305, Dowling Park, FL, 32064.
