AUBURNDALE - Paul Hyman, age 83, a resident of Auburndale passed away Wed. November 21, 2012 at the Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure.
Mr. Hyman was born Dec. 15, 1928 in Bonifay, Florida to Ira Oscar and Jewell (Parrish) Hyman. He was an Auburndale resident since 1955 coming from Naples and a retired business owner of grocery stores, car dealerships and a swap shop. Paul was a United States Army veteran, member of Auburndale Life Church, worked as a Sergeant for the Sheriff's Dept. for 13 years in charge of all Safety Officers in Polk Co. and previously served as an Auxiliary Officer for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Earl Hyman and sister Helen Walsh.
Paul is survived by his loving family: wife: Loretta Hyman of Auburndale, FL, 3 daughters: Cindy (Bob) Ryals of Franklin, TN, Susan (Bart) Barton of Wauchula, FL, Lisa Pearce of Polk City, FL, 2 brothers: Carl Hyman of Polk City, FL, Gene Hyman of Auburndale, FL, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Paul Hyman's name to: Auburndale Life Church (Missions), 581 Berkley Road South, Auburndale, FL. 33823.
Funeral services will be held 7:30 PM Sat. November 24, 2012 at the Kersey Funeral Home with visitation before from 6:30 till 7:30 PM. Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Sun. November 25, 2012 at the Auburndale Memorial Park.
