LAKELAND - Ronald E. Stoffer, 71, of Lakeland. Florida, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, following a long illness.
Ron Stoffer was born on July 3, 1941, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to George T. and Caroline Beckman Stoffer. He was the youngest of ten siblings.
He was married to his wife of nearly 30 years, Sharon A. Stoffer, Ron is survived by a sister, Irma Wagner of Norfolk, Nebraska; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Jeannine Stoffer of De Pere, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Belliveau, and her husband, Ed, of Moncton, NB Canada/St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister-in-law, Kathy Sheppard, and her husband, Gerald of Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Stoffer and Michael Lesy, of Amherst, Massachusetts; a son, Brian Stoffer, of Northampton, Massachusetts; a granddaughter, Isabel Masteika of Amherst, Massachusetts, and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and by siblings Louise West, Lawrence Stoffer, Luella Ahlnann, Eleanor Synovec, Bernice Stoffer, Delores Sternberg, and Loretta Draube, all of Nebraska.
Memorial service will be private at home. In lieu of flowers. the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The in Ron Stoffer's memory.
