SCOTT ANDREW
STINSON, 23
Stinson Carpets

LAKELAND - Scott Stinson went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013 due to injuries from an automobile accident.
Scotty was born in Lakeland and has been a lifetime resident. He was working in the family business at Stinson Carpets. Scotty was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He had many interests and hobbies that included, spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, attending Gator football games and going to the Moose Lodge.
Please join us in celebration of Scotty's life. His legacy is his unconditional love. He was sensitive to every need and looked to the soul of all he came into contact with as people who had value. He could see needs when others would look past, and Scotty would seek ways to be a friend and meet the needs of others. Scotty is still meeting the needs of others by the donation of his lungs, liver, heart, pancreas, corneas and kidneys to six families. He loved to ask questions and ponder if you were just blowing him off, or if you were the real deal. Scotty loved to hear stories and he loved to tell stories. He cared about his relationships, and was reflective in his faith in Jesus Christ. Scotty had an uncanny ability to make you laugh and brighten your day. It was impossible not to smile back to his crooked grin.
Scotty was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bobby Griffin. Survivors include his parents Randy and Karrie Stinson; brother Shane Stinson; sister Summer Stinson; paternal grandparents Bill and Jean Stinson; maternal grandmother Bonnie Griffin Turbeville and her husband, Steve Turbeville; uncles, Ron Stinson, Rick (Penni) Stinson; aunts, Mindy (Bruce) Liddy, Dawn Griffin, Linda Griffin, Dee (J.R.) Wade; and numerous cousins.
For those interested, dress attire is "country casual" just like Scotty. The visitation will be Wednesday, April 17th, 5:00 - 8:00pm at Lakeside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 18th , 2:00pm at the church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Scotty's memory to: Moose Charities, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539 or moosecharities.org.
Arrangements by, Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel.
