VIRGINIA ELISA HACKETT, 87

WAVERLY - Virginia Elisa Hackett, 87, of Waverly, FL passed away on February 27, 2014 at her residence of dementia.
She was born on February 13, 1927 in Hollywood, FL and moved to the area some 35 years ago. Virginia was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service and of the Lutheran faith, in her free time she truly loved to fish.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Hackett and her sons, Ronald C. Hackett and Richard L. Hackett.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Max R. Hackett of Cocoa Beach, FL, Robert G. Hackett of Watertown, SD; daughter, Katie Steelman of Waverly, FL; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Friday, 3/7/14 at 7 pm at New Life Assembly of God in Wahneta, FL.

SO sorry for your loss.She was truely an amazing woman and very funny! We all loved her at Astoria Health and Rehab.She was one of our favorites! I remember always telling her we had the same name and how she loved to hear it.Always kept her up talking with her to calm her down and putting a smile on her face!
