LAKELAND - Mr. Dan Edward Smith, age 64, died of pulmonary fibrosis Monday (February 13, 2012).
Born in McIntosh, FL, on June 21, 1947, Dan was a lifelong resident. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Crestview Baptist Church.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife Violet Smith. He is survived by his sons Edward Wiltshire, George Wiltshire, David Wiltshire, all of Lakeland; daughter Hazel Stephenson, Lakeland; brothers James Lewis, Lake Placid, FL, Jack Smith, Gainesville, GA, David Smith, Lakeland, FL; sisters Rhonda Whitehead, Lakeland, Virginia Hucks, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Barbara Edgemon, Lake Placid, FL; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday, 2/16/12 from 6-8pm at Lanier Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be 11am at Crestview Baptist Church. Interment will be in Oak Hill Burial Park.
