HUME, 91
LAKELAND - Joe J. Hume died of natural causes Mon., May 21, 2012 at home, surrounded by family.
Born in Chillicothe, MO in 1921 to Joe Clem Hume and Marie Baker, he was preceded in death by his brothers Keith and Den-ny.
During WWII he flew supplies to Gen. Patton's troops. He owned and operated auto dealerships in Iowa and Illinois. An excellent golfer, he enjoyed the game throughout his life and made eight holes-in-one - the last at the age of 90.
Survivors include his wife Betty, daughters Kathy, Becky, Kelli, and Melody, son Dick, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wed., May 23 at 3:00PM in Victory Church Chapel on Griffin Rd.
