DEBRA "DEBBIE" SUE VAUGHN, 52
LAKE ALFRED - Mrs. Debra "Debbie" Sue Vaughn, age 52, a resident of Lake Alfred passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her residence due to COPD.
Mrs. Vaughn was born May 6, 1960 in Paris, Illinois to Teddy Ray and Beatrice Jean (Gordon) Simons. Debbie was a resident of Polk County since 1982 coming from Illinois. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Illinois, enjoyed decorating, gardening flowers, animals, helping other people and working as a home health aide.
She was preceded in death by father Teddy Simons; stepfather Grest-on Miller; paternal grandparents John & Josephine Simons; maternal grandparents Dale & Frances Gordon; brother William Ray Simons; nephew William Earl Gordon and brother-in-law Terry Vaughn.
Debbie is survived by: husband of 31 Years: Jim Vaughn of Lake Alfred, FL, 3 sons: James Ray Vaughn of Lake Alfred, FL, Timothy Brian Vaughn of Lake Alfred, FL, Jason Allen (Crystal) Vaughn of Lake Alfred, FL, mother: B.J. Miller of Winter Haven, FL, 2 brothers: Timothy of IL, Michael of IA, 3 sisters: Michelle of MI, Robin of MO, Frances of CO, 3 grandchildren: Aleigha, Jason & Brian, 1 step grandson: Michael.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Kersey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held before from 1:00 till 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
