KATYA POMPILI
POBJECKY, 13

ROANOKE, VA. - "Our Beloved Little KATYA". On the night before he died, Jesus said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house there are many mansions. I go now to prepare a place for you and I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be, also." Early this past Friday morning while it was still dark, Jesus came quietly into Katya's room where she was sleeping. He took her gently by the hand and said, "Rise up my daughter and do not be afraid. I am taking you to your new home, your eternal home, our eternal home." Holding her tightly in his loving arms, Jesus and Katya, surrounded by angels and family members who had gone before, traversed the skies over Christiansburg and then the vast expanse of inter-stellar space until they reached The Heavenly Precincts of God's Home. Although her parents, family, and loved ones are heart-broken, they know that their beloved Katya is one with God and with all those who have gone before. No longer afflicted by her disabilities and her earthly body, she is now enjoying the fullness of life, the fullness of joy, and the fullness of love. Although Katya is one with God in Glory, she is still one with those who love her. As they once watched over her, she is now watching over them. Although Katya was so little, and here on earth for such a short period of time, she touched the hearts of many people.
Katerina "Katya" Elizabeth was thirteen years old and is survived by her parents, Chris and Marina Pobjecky; her brother, Sasha Pompili; her grandparents, Mr. Vladimir Alexandrovich Belov and Mrs. Lubov Nickolaevna Belova, as well as the Reverend Richard and Judi Pobjecky; and many family members and loved ones.
