LAKELAND - Doris Jean Jones, 81 passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, as a result of complications of Alzheimer's.
She was born July 26, 1930 in Paxton, Illinois. She retired from Owens Illinois Glass Company where she was employed as a bottle inspector.
Ms. Jones is survived by her son Mike Jones, daughter Julie Witherington, brother Jack (Joanne) Henderson, brother-in-law Travis Jones, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2012 from 1-2pm at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road in Lakeland. A graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park at 2:30pm with Rev. Mike Jones officiating.
