LAKELAND - Phyllis N. Kerrigan, retired educator, died peacefully at her home on Friday, June 15, 2012 due to heart failure. Phyllis was born February 20, 1936 in Highland Park, IL, daughter of the late Francis and Anne Kerrigan. Following her years in education, Phyllis moved to Lakeland, FL to be near her sister, Mary Jo and Max Miller while residing at Georgetowne Manor.
Phyllis is survived by her brother, Donald Kerrigan of Holly Springs, NC.; her sister, Kay Weston of Lake Forest, IL; and her devoted nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the Azalea Park Chapel, 3rd floor, in Lakeland on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. Transferal and interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lake Forest, IL to follow.
