MAYNARD, 91

WAYNE, W.V. - Herbert Maynard, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 of natural causes.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Wayne County, WV by David Atkins and Charles Maynard. Burial will follow on Monday, at 10:00 AM, July 2, 2012, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Kenova, WV.
He was born in Wilsondale, West Virginia on April 1, 1921 to the late Dewey Maynard and Charity Maynard Arrowood. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. After the war he worked as a barber, ran the Bowery Mission in New York, and for many years served as a Baptist Minister. In his later years he was employed at the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Fl and played the part of "Aaron, the high priest, and Moses". He retired at age 88.
He is survived by four daughters, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home. The family is accepting donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation, Libbyslegacy.org in lieu of flowers.
