LAKELAND - Percy Willis, 83, of Lakeland, passed away July18, 2012 due to heart failure.
Mr. Willis was born in Lake Butler, FL, and had lived in New Port Richey before moving to Lakeland 16 years ago. He was the owner and operator of
a Badcock Furniture store in Orlando for 13 years and then a store in Hudson, FL for 11 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Gibsonia Baptist Church. His passion for golf filled his retirement years, playing three days a week.
Mr. Willis is survived by his wife of 63 years Billa Jean, "BJ", a daughter Norma Hull and her husband Mo, a brother Ardell Willis, a sister Connie Crumley, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, July 21 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 5245 US 98 North, with the service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
