JOHN GORDON "DOC" CLARK, 82
LAKELAND - John Gordon "Doc" Clark passed away on August 7, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to respiratory failure at the age of 82.
He was born on October 29, 1929 in Brunswick, Georgia, to Gordon Bates Clark and Mary Lee Edenfield Clark Harrell. He moved to Lakeland in 1946 after an honorable discharge from the Army. He married the love of his life, Wretha Hester Clark, May 7, 1950. "Doc" was a mechanic at Lakeland Ford for many years, welder at Leco Hi-Lift, Supervisor at Publix Produce Warehouse and retired from being a framing contractor. "Doc" was a 32nd degree Mason, avid fisherman, and enjoyed hunting with his family in Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Wretha in 2001, father Gordon Bates Clark, mother Mary Lee Harrell, sister Carole Jean Harrell Soper, son-in-law Charles Dallas and granddaughter Monica Elaine Dallas.
He is survived by: daughter Elaine Dallas, grandsons Justin Dallas (Blaire), Dustin Dallas, great grandson Judge Dallas, cousins Burford Clark, Jr., Woodbine, GA, Tommy Mills Clark and Charles L. Clark, Waverly, GA, Geneieve Crea-sey, Valdosta, GA, Donna Faye Kelly Newham, Waynesville, GA, William H. Clark, Jr., Tennessee, Paul Clark, Woodbine, GA, Nancy Hunnicutt, Fayetteville, GA, Nancy Edenfield Sawyer, Lakeland, Mike Seal, Ponce De Leon, FL, Sally Wasmund Cochran, Lithia, FL, John Arthur Raulston, Los Mesas, AZ, Linda Innes, Atlanta, GA, aunt, Phenia Johnson, Lakeland, sister-in-law, Pear Lee Hudson (Hanson), Ocilla, GA, nephew Jimmy Wynn (Mary), niece Marie Hudgins (Greg), great nephews Matt and Neal Wynn, all of Sycamore, GA.
Visitation will be Friday August 10, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Heath Funeral Chapel and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday August 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at
