LAKELAND - Permelia LaLonde took the hand of Jesus and went home to heaven, on Saturday, October 13 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to cancer.
Born to Ralph C. and Doris J. McCullough on January 28, 1955 in Lakeland, she was a homemaker. Her husband, Jack, her brother and his wife, Ralph C. and Elizabeth McCullough of Charleston, SC and Sallye Esther McCullough of Bokeelia, Florida, survive Permelia.
Permelia's passion during her life was to be a beacon in leading other's to serve the Lord. She was involved with the Covenant Women of Purpose. This was a non-profit organization that provided food for the homeless. Permelia was a member of the Family Worship Center and Faith Life Fellowship.
A Memorial to Celebrate Permelia's life will be held in the chapel at Lanier Funeral Home, 717 W. Griffin Road, Lakeland, FL on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covenant Women of Purpose, P.O. Box 2434, Eaton Park, FL. 33840-2438.
