LAKELAND - William Kent Meyer, 55, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013, as a result of kidney failure.
Billy was born January 17, 1958 in Lakeland, FL where he remained a lifelong resident. He was the owner/operator of Meyer Plumbing, a company he founded in 1984. Billy was very involved with youth sports in Lakeland. He coached baseball for Lakeland City Baseball for 14 years and soccer for HYSA for 11 years. He attended Community of Christ Church in Lakeland.
Billy is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Darci Meyer; sons, Collin, Cory and Clayton Meyer; sister, Holly Verplanck and her husband, Bill; his beloved German Shepherd, Stormy; and many other loving family members and dear friends.
A celebration of Billy's life will be conducted Monday, November 18, 2013 at 4pm at Community of Christ Church at 4515 Old Road 37 in Lakeland 863 644-3130.
