AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Virginia Ruth Barrett, age 78, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her home with family and friends due to complications from cancer.
Mrs. Barrett was born February 25, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN. to William & Martha (Anderson) Keyt. She was an Auburndale resident since 1969 coming from Chattanooga and retired from Circle K as a store manager. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Auburndale, she enjoyed her family and loved her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband R.B. Barrett in 2010.
Virginia is survived by: 4 daughters: Brenda Mole of Palm Bay, FL, Carolyn Kerns of Auburndale, FL, Teresa Crisp of Owasso, OK, Susan Barrett of Winter Haven; 2 sons: Gary Crisp of VA, Rodger Barrett of Orlando, FL; 2 sisters: Linda Etherton, Brenda Keyt, both of Auburndale; 2 brothers: Carl Keyt of Rossville, GA, Rev. Tommy Keyt of Buena Vista, GA; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 10 AM at the Auburndale Cemetery.
