GEORGE THOMAS BRIGHAM, 71
AUBURNDALE - Mr. George Thomas Brigham, age 71 (September 3, 1942) of Auburndale passed away Tuesday July 8, at his residence due to lung cancer.
Mr. Brigham was a native of Amherst, Ohio and had been a resident of our community for the past 27 years coming from Port Charlotte, Fl. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service as a submarine torpedo man and also was with the ROTC Program for 22 years of which 19 years was as the ANSI of the ROTC Unit at Auburndale High School. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburndale, a 40 year volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, and was a former member of the Port Charlotte Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Lorice Brigham. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Sari Ann Brigham of Auburndale; daughter Toni Renee (Mark) Cronk of New Fairfield, CT; son David Lee (Pam) Brigham of Palm Coast, FL; brothers Randy J. (Ranae) Brigham of Dallas, Texas and Ralph B. (Wendy) Brigham of Gainesville, FL; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 26, at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. Saturday prior to services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mr. Brigham's name to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL. 33823 or the SPCA Florida, 5850 Brannen Road South, Lakeland, FL. 33813.
