"Southern lands and sky blue waters,
Midst them stands you Alma Mater.
Guardian of this fruitful land,
With all knowledge at your hand.
Ever guiding onward true,
Auburndale, we pledge to you.
Alma Mater, stand forever
On Lake Ariana's Shore."

Eastside Baptist was where we met first as children but later working WITH the kids. Kim and Carla were such hard workers with everything from play time to music. You taught me a lot and you leave an awesome legacy.

Kim and I met in 73 we played football together and became friends. He was a stand up guy, tough as nails on that football field he loved the Bloodhounds as much as he loved the game. Kim was a special kind of person he never got upset on or off the field he was always cool and calm. He was very passionate about football and everything else he got into. Out of all the years I knew Kim I never saw him get mad or say one bad thing about anyone, and he is the only person I have ever known like that. You were a great player and a good friend Kim. I know that God has welcomed you home with all of the Love and Grace that he has for you and all of the rest of us. You are home now with a lot of our Bloodhound Brothers and all of your Family and Friends. Rest well Brother for where you are there is no pain or suffering there is nothing but Love, you are the lucky one. Today we mourn but tomorrow we celebrate and everyday there after for every day that we knew you. Rest well Brother we all loved you and will mis you.

Kim...I cannot remember a time without you in it. I honestly think I've known you all my life and I believe that is exactly how long I have loved you. You are like family...no, you are family!
I know I will not meet you on the street or run into you at Publix...You will not be here to open a door, or carry an over stuffed box, or just slowly shake your head, smile, and laugh at me and say, "Oh no girl, you ain't right"...But I will forever cherish memories of you.
You have touched so many lives and hearts. God bless and keep your loved ones...family and friends.
Kim Smith you will be missed.

It was 1971 when we first met, we played football together, graduated together, were friends the last 44 years. And back in July we ministered together. God bless you my friend. We love you & will keep Carla & the kids in our prayers.
