LAKELAND - Mrs. Dolores Marie "Dody" Gumtow passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010 due to cancer.
Dody was born on December 14, 1927 to Davis and Helen (Vernon) Hickman in Pleasantville, Ohio. She was co-owner of Fabric Warehouse. Dody was a member of Ignited Church and the Golden Eagles.
Dody is survived by her husband, Bill Gumtow; son, Bruce (Kathleen) Gumtow; daughters, Becky Garland and Beth (Todd) Hynd; sister, Joann Davis; brother-in-law and family, Roger, Cathy, Becca and Will Gumtow; sister-in-law, Lynn Buchholz; grandchildren, Clair, Brandon, Joshua, Nathan, and Kevin; and a great-granddaughter, Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave. Auburndale, FL 33823.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11 am at Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel with Pastor Strader officiating. Interment will follow at 2 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

i loved dody she was such a good influnce in my life iwas the family
babysitter for years and she was so loving to everyone and it shows
in the woderfulchildren she raised
