HOLMAN, 42
WINTER HAVEN - Roland Francis Holman, 42, of Winter Haven, Florida, born December 16, 1968 and entered death on March 6, 2011 due to an auto accident.
He was Baptist, and he loved boating, fishing, and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his children Blake Francis Holman and Emmi Lily-Ann Holman; parents Francis "Homer" Holman (Lucy Ann) of Cookeville, Tennessee and Barbara Stanley of Winter Haven; sister Karen Seyez (David) of Winter Haven; step-siblings Melissa, Cindy, Carolyn and Jay; and many nephews, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 11 at 2:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 SR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Fellowship Cemetery, Ft. Lonesome. Expressions of condolence at

I remember Roland as a funny, enthusiastic, and sweet person back in high school. Even though I haven't seen you since then, I know what a wonderful person and father you had turned out to be. When I look into the starry sky at night, the brightest star will be your sweet spirit shining from above. I know the world was a better place because you were a part of it.

I would like to thank everyone for their support. I am still grieving and those of you who are helping me are doing a wonderful job. I go to see my son every three weeks and its just as hard as the first time. I thank everyone for their kind words.

It's been 30 days since I heard the terrible news about you and not one of these days has passed that I haven't thought about you and either laughed at a funny memory or just cried b/c you're gone and it's still so hard to believe. I hope you are in a better place and able to watch over Emmi, Blake & Lucy too. Even though I wasn't able to see you every day, I will miss you always.

We'll never forget that Roland was the first to welcome us to our neighborhood. He had a big heart and it felt good to know that if we needed him, he would be there. As his next door neighbor, we enjoyed our many conversations. He was a trusted friend. He shared some of his deepest feelings through happy and sad times.
The neighborhood will never be the same, the rumble of Rolands truck is gone, our conversations are no more. But, our memories will live on for ever. Thanks for being a friend!!! We will miss you!!

Roland i know it has been alot of years since I last saw you. Jamie and Jerry always let me know you were alright. My heart was smashed to pieces when my father called me on Tuesday and told me you were gone. You were such a wise guy and that always made me laugh. Blake and Emmi are beautiful. I have no doubt your spirit will always be with them.
My mind is flooded with so many memories, all good and funny. Our family is devastated. Be with Jamie. She's hurting bad. You were a brother to us. We love you so much.

Roland-you were like a brother to us and a fifth kid to our parents. We were always up to something, laughing and having a good time one minute then fighting like cats and dogs the next. I'm glad we kept in touch over the years. Trips to Fl will always be missing something now. When Jesse and I visit the beach in Oct I hope to look up in the sky and see a big puffy cloud with long curly hair winking and smiling at us. Blake and Emmi will need you as their gaurdian angel now and so will the rest of us. We're really going to miss you Rolo!

Roland was a former neighbor of ours when we lived in Queens Cove. We always thought a lot of Roland. He would come over and help us out from time to time. We know that he was a man with a very good heart. Our prayers go out to the family especially to the children.

We all have many wonderful memories of Roland. It is hard to believe that one of our friends is gone. I think one of the greatest things that everyone remembers when thinking about Roland is his smile. He had the best smile in the world. He is going to be missed.
