LAKELAND - Richard David Johnson, 90, of Lakeland, Florida, passed on to his heavenly reward April, 11 2012, due to natural causes.
He was born in Warren, PA, and served as a lead navigator in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State College in 1947, with a degree in metallurgical engineering. He was Chief Manufacturing Engineer at Dresser Industries in Bradford, PA until retiring to Lakeland in 1984. He was a long-time volunteer and board member of Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Camp in Bemus Point, NY.
He is survived by his dear wife, Adele, and his three loving children, Deborah, Douglas and David; three adoring grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Presbyterian Church of the Highlands on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
