MULBERRY - Clyde George Lehmker, 90, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, as a result of natural causes.
Mr. Lehmker was born February 11, 1923 in Lansing, IL. He and his wife moved to Imperial Lakes in 1978 from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Lehmker was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army Air Corps where he served during World War II, as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was employed by Piper Aircraft where he worked as a drafting checker until his retirement. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeland.
Mr. Lehmker is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Ruth Lehmker; son Ken Lehmker and his wife, Rita; daughter Jean Miller and her husband, Neil; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Mr. Lehmker's family will receive friends Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 6-8pm at Lakeland Funeral Home, 2125 South Bartow Highway in Lakeland. A celebration of Mr. Lehmker's life will be conducted Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10am at the funeral home with Pastor Edgar Trinklein officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.
