CHARLES GLORE Obituary

CHARLES SCOTT GLORE, 76

WEST CHESTER, PA. -Charles Scott Glore, 76, of West Chester, PA, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, of respiratory failure at the Chester County Hospital, with his wife at his side.
Born in Waycross, Georgia, Mr. Glore was the son of Paul and Lillian Glore, both of whom predeceased him. He graduated from Lakeland High School in 1955.
His talent led to a music scholarship to Stetson University, where he edited the university newspaper and was a brother of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. His melodic tenor and skilled guitar and piano playing helped him earn his way through college by entertaining across Florida as a soloist and as a member of The Baffled Knights and other groups.
Mr. Glore wrote musical scores and screenplays for several movies, a couple of which featured Nashville notables. The bulk of his career, though, was spent in marketing and advertising, where he wrote and designed for such diverse accounts as NASCAR, Frigidaire, Mercury Marine, Trex, and Exxon Mobil. He also created several hundred training films. His creativity was further manifest in poetry and novels, while his wit made him innumerable friends through the songs he spontaneously created about people and events.
In addition to his wife, Dr. Diane M. Disney, he is survived by his brother, Dr. James Glore, and sister-in-law, Dr. Barbara Glore, of Milwaukee, WI; his sister, Katherine Martin of Lakeland, FL; his brother-and sister-in-law David and Barbara Disney of DeLand, FL; three nieces and a nephew; and six step-children.
As a Navy veteran and scuba diver, he wanted to be buried at sea in a project to help rebuild coral reefs. That ceremony will be held this summer.
In lieu of flowers, people wanting to make a memorial gift are directed to The Chester County Hospital Foundation, 701 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380, or to the website.

Uncle Chuck made everything better. I miss him and think about him every day. He was the closest thing to a father I had. I will always be grateful for everything he was and did. He was smart, funny, silly, loving and supportive. There will never be anyone else like him. He was the best of the best. I loved him with all my heart.

Mr. and Mrs. Glore and children were members of our church and Chuck was in my grade in school. But it was his role as Charley's Aunt in our Senior class play that I remember most about him. My sincerest sympathy to you in your loss. Elizabeth Pearce Bennett

So sorry to hear about Chuck; He graduated with me in 1955 and was a really nice guy. When he could make it to our class reunion we liked him to be MC as he was so entertaining.

Rest in peace, Chuck.
