BRADFORD, 72

MULBERRY - Martha Moore Bradford, 72 of Mulberry died of complications from Alzheimer's.
Martha, a Florida native, was born in Ft. Meade, FL, November 14, 1940. She graduated from Ft. Meade High School in 1958 and proceeded to become a licensed cosmetologist with a career that spanned 50 years.
Martha moved to Mulberry in 1960 and after graduating from beauty school she moved to Mulberry where she opened Martha's Beauty Salon. She was active in my many civic activities and organizations. She was a member of the Mulberry Women's club for over 40 years. She served as Chairwoman for the Little Miss Mulberry pageant. She was also a member of the executive board of the library for the City of Mulberry.
Martha and her husband Larry were avid square dancing enthusiasts. They were members of the Buttons and Bows Square Dance Club of Lakeland for over 35 years.
During football season you would find Martha at Florida Field cheering on her beloved Gators. The highlight for her was meeting Tim Tebow after a game.
As an active member of the First Baptist Church in Mulberry she kept the infant nursery during Sunday School and taught Vacation Bible School.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents Drew and Esther Moore and a brother Lincoln Moore all from Ft. Meade.
She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband Larry of 42 years, her son Duane, daughter-in-law Teri, step grandchildren Ivy and Thomas Oglesby, sister Evelyn Mizell of Winter Haven, three nieces, two nephews two great grand nephews and three great grand nieces, as well as many friends she considered family.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church on Saturday July 13 at 3:00pm.
