LAKELAND - Mr. Raymond Joseph Ford, 85, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 in Lakeland, Florida due to natural causes. Mr. Ford was born July 8, 1928 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Francis and Aurora Ford.
Mr. Ford graduated from Cathedral High in 1945 and attended Western New England College of Business & Engineering as well as the University of Hartford. Mr. Ford served his country in the U.S. Navy. He also worked for the New England Telephone Company for 39 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, Trumpet Ministry, Migrant Workers Ministry, an associate at Lake Gibson Methodist Church and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Mr. Ford is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ford; children, Claire O'Meara, Ted Ford and Mary Clark, Thomas Yingst; grandchildren, Hannah Clark, Eric Ford, Samuel Clark, Mandy Ford.
A memorial service will be Sunday, July 21, at 3:00 PM at the Carpenters Home Auditorium.
