DUNDEE - Thomas Carman, 63, passed away on August 17, 2013, in the Winter Haven Hospital, due to respiratory failure.
Tom was born on December 19, 1949, in New York City. He spent his youth there and in Minneapolis. Tom served four years in the United States Navy as a medic, stationed at Great Lakes Naval Hospital. Tom moved to Florida in 1973, where he met and married his wife of 37 years. Tom graduated from Landmark Baptist College with a doctorate in theology.
Tom loved to travel and was most thrilled by his two trips to Israel. He loved music, his books, motorcycles, his friends, his family, and Yeshua. Disabled for years, Tom was active on the internet, supporting those who also were challenged by bipolar disorder, and advocating for abused animals of every description.
Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Carman, his son, Scott Carman, his beloved daughter-in-law, Misti Carman, and his three grandchildren, A.J., Alexa Rose, and Hailey Marie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rosemarie Carman, and his sister, Gloria Choate.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Landmark Baptist College, or to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, or to the local Humane Society.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 2:00 P.M., at the Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City.
