LAKELAND - Sidney M. Crawford, 66, passed away January 7, 2013 at LRMC due to heart failure.
Mr. Crawford is a Florida native who served as a 20 year old infantry
Lieutenant in Vietnam during 1967-68, and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service. After discharge in 1969, he completed his
education at Florida State University, graduating magna cum laude in 1972
with a B.A. in history and a J.D. in 1974. He has been practicing law for
the past 37 years in Lakeland. He was also an avid fisherman.
Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife Beckie Crawford; sons Grant (Erin) Crawford, Ben (Charlee) Crawford; mother Martha Crawford; brothers Joe Crawford, Donald Crawford, Billy Crawford, Brian Crawford and 4 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 9 at 2:00 P.M. at
Highland Park Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
