Bill was a gentle gentleman. I only knew him from fishing trips to Flamingo and hunting trips. He was fun to be with and made you feel welcome. When meeting Bill, it was like you knew him all your life. I'm sure he has a good place in heaven.

Gigi and I think of you often. We are blessed to have been friends with you and Becky. God makes all of us in his liking, however he makes a few that live their life in his liking. You are one of the few! We miss you and thank God that we were allowed to be your friend. Keep locating the fishing holes in Heaven with the greatest fisherman of all, Jesus. We will fish again.

Bill, a father, husband, loyal friend, sportsman, business man, who loves God. He is one of God's primary guides on the many activities Heaven offers.
We think of you daily and offer up our prayers. Tight Lines my friend.

I loved Bill ever since we became best buddies at Morehead State University back in 1966/67 . . . He was my best hunting and fishing pal and he will be sorely missed. 45 years later we would still crack up at some of our jokes and adventures. Bill also had one of the most pleasant voices on this earth.

He's with some super fishermen now, my Dad included. Rest in peace Brother . . .

One of the greatest men I'll ever know i'm sure. I started my insurance career at Bills office. I was straight out of my enlistment in the military and knew absolutely nothing about insurance. He told me to go get my insurance license and come back and that's exactly what I did, I stayed there for 6 great years. Bill was a mentor and a man I looked up to tremendously. It will be hard passing his office everyday on the way to mine knowing that he's no longer there, although I'm sure he's fishing somewhere! I will be forever grateful for everything Bill did for me and for guiding me through my insurance career. Our prayers are with Becky and the family. God bless

This is truly a sad passing. Bill Marston's legacy as true friend and genuine person will last forever. I was lucky enough to fish with Bill Becky, Mike, Heath and Brian both in Florida and throughout the world. From those trips a great friendship was formed and I will forever cherish those memories. He will be missed dearly by family and friends alike. I'm sure he's hooked up to a snook in heaven.
Fish in peace my friend.

Bill was such a role model for me in life dealing with people and running a business and especially in enjoying the important things in life like family. What a wonderful family and legacy he leaves behind. Such a wonderful man full of integrity and great humor. He really enjoyed life and he was always smiling and happy. Great way to be remembered.

Bill and I were friends from the first day we met as teenagers in the LWHS gym. The story was that two guys, Bill and Mike, had moved to town and were going to bring fame and fortune to Highlander athletics. As we all know today, Bill was a very talented athlete and fantastic outdoorsman, but more than that, he was the prototype husband, father, grandfather, and friend. RIP old buddy. You're gone way too soon, but leave the light on because we'll all be there in due time.

It has been many years since I last saw Mr. Marston, but the memories seem like yesterday. Heath and I were very good friends in our early years, and I had the good fortune to stay with the Marstons a few times after they moved to Lake Wales. Mr. Marston was a cool guy I looked up to as a kid, and I know he'll be sorely missed.
You'll carry your memories of him forever, and I know he'll be mentioned on every future hunting and fishing trip. I know those stories and memories will bring smiles for years to come. Thinking of you all...

April 25, 2017

Sorry for your loss. Bill was a great friend of ours at Morehead State University. We always loved the fishing trips to Lake Wales in the spring. He was a special person in our lives as he was best man in our wedding. We loved him very much. ...Suzi and Corky Ross

Just as we have not left Jesus in the manger, on the cross, or in the tomb, because He is alive, we have not left Bill; the love of your family's lives in that hospital room. (John 14:9 )

His firm belief in Jesus swept away the shadow of death and your loving husband is alive for eternity with his Savior. and all of us who are believers will see him again in heaven.

I knew of his Trust in Christ as his savior, but was reassured when we spoke of our belief at the time of my mother's funeral in Lake Wales in December of 2004.

Larry and I began praying for you Becky. In the hour we heard Sunday night, and for each member of your family. We know all hearts are unconsolable by human words, and the darkness of Bill's absence will only be comforted in time by Jesus alone, for he alone is the answer to the burdens of our hearts.

I wish we could be there at your Ranch For Bill's memorial service and to be with you, your family and all who grew up with Bill and have been lifetime friends.
Please know that we will continue to pray for you and your family.
We have been told that it was Bill's wishes to make a donation in leiu of flowers to the Lake Wales YMCA. Please let us know how we go about making that donation.

Affectionately B.J. and Larry Sauls

I remember Mr. Marston taking me fishing as a kid. Even if Heath and Brian weren't around, he would tell me to load up. That's just the kind of man he was. He knew every inch of Crooked Lake and legend has it, he may have caught every largemouth in the whole lake! See you in paradise. Be strong Marston's!!!
