I Miss the week night skate sessions with you and Tyler back in the day in high school. I remember that one time we were skating Auburn park and you fell in the deep bowl and smacked your face on the coping, so gnarly man, you had a pretty bad black eye from it. I wish I knew you better and we kept the shred sessions going these past couple years. You always seemed like a super chill, nice, down to earth dude, you we're very talented, a great dad from what I witnessed and you definitely inspired me and pushed me when we skated, thanks for that. Rest in peace brotha

Bobby was a great friend, and and amazing snowboarder. I had so many good times with him, going to Mammoth and to USASA competitions. Bobby was also the reason I changed my style to wearing tight pants when we were younger. I will always have great memories and he will be greatly missed. As we used to call him, Robert James Henning the III Rest In Peace

Sweet Bobby,
I remember when you were on the snowboard team. I took you, Chase, Tanner, Christian, and Eric to Mammoth for 3-4 days. You had taken to the style of wearing your sister's stretch jeans and all the boys were giving you a hard time. Not only were you unfazed by their taunts, you were a trend setter! You convinced them all to try on those girl jeans and see how comfortable they were and of course how much better they were to skate in. On our way home we had to stop at Mervyns so everyone could get a pair of girl jeans.
Over the years I have relived this memory with many. Your crystal blue eyes, your coal black curls, your playful smile, and your silly ways will stay in our hearts.
I hope your daughter will grow-up knowing her father touched many people, had a gentle heart and an adventurous spirit.
Much love and light,
Joni Schmidt

Bobby was an amazing spirited young man. I was his principal for 7th and 8th grade and he kept me on my toes with his middle school mischief. His beautiful blue eyes got me every time and his crazy curly hair that he would grow out on purpose to defy my dress code, which prompted his science teacher to cut it during class. He and my son Jason were very close during that time which made their middle school experience very memorable. They invented the two-handed shovel for the science fair. Bobby, you made a lasting impression on those that you encountered in your short but meaningful life. Ypu will never be forgotten and will always be loved. I am so glad that you had a daughter that will be a wonderful reminder of your love and spirit. Rest in peace my friend. We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in our arms.

I remember the day you drove through Taco Tree. I was inside and you waved to me through the window. After you motioned to come outside, I left my table to come say hello. You reached in your car and pulled out a beautiful yellow rose and said, "This is for you." Bobby Henning, you were one of the sweetest people I knew and you were a wonderful friend. I will always remember you and I will see you again one day.
