ROBERTO MONTALVO McALLEN - Roberto Montalvo, 83, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital of McAllen. Roberto was born July 6, 1930 in San Benito, TX. He is the son of the late Jesus and the late San Juanita (Gonzalez) Montalvo. He was a veteran and served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Graciela Olivia (Lozano) Montalvo; three sons, Robert Montalvo, Jr. of McAllen, Gilbert Montalvo of San Antonio and Daniel Antonio Montalvo of Dallas; one daughter, Barbara Marie Montalvo of Edcouch; one granddaughter, Jacklyn Montalvo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry and Diana Lozano, Joe and Tillie Lozano; several nieces and nephews. A Rosary was held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. Mass will be said at 10:00 am Friday, September 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in McAllen. Full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 13, 2013 at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran's Cemetery in Mission.
