AURELIO JUAN CASTILLO PHARR - Aurelio Juan Castillo, 84, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital of McAllen. Born in Robstown, Texas, Mr. Castillo was raised by his uncle and grew up in the San Manuel/La Blanca. Mr. Castillo was a veteran having served during the Korean War and was a medic in the Mesh Unit as well as a boxer during his tour. Mr. Castillo is survived by his adoring children which include four sons David and Hector Castillo both of McAllen; Oscar (Aleida) Castillo of Cedar Park, Texas and George (Marty) Castillo; his life long companion Mary Trevino of Pharr and her children Javier Trevino, Lloyd (Mary) Trevino and Florestella Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Victor and his loving wife, Anastacia Vasquez Castillo. Visitations began on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary being recited at Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 12:45 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church of McAllen. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery located at 2520 South Inspiration Road in Mission, Texas.
