CRISANTO C. GONZALEZ RIO GRANDE CITY - Crisanto C. Gonzalez, Jr.,84, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Rio Grande Nursing Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death by his sisters Minerva Solis and Carmela Garza. He is survived by his wife Sabina L. Gonzalez and children, Crisanto Gonzalez III, Javier (Nilda) Gonzalez, Carlos Alberto Gonzalez, Marco Antonio Gonzalez and Vilma Gonzalez: one sister Sylvia G. Villarreal; three grandchildren and four great-grand children. He served in the Korean War in the 1950's. He was in the combat engineer division. He also served with the National Guard during the Berlin Crises. After the war he attended the Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas where he earned his Bachalor of Arts Degree in Education. He was employed by the Rio Grande City Consolidated School District for 37 years. Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m, on December 14, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City.
