FRANSICO ALVARADO MORA EDINBURG - Francisco Alvarado Mora, 89 entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Edinburg Regional Hospital. He was born on September 3, 1924 to Nestor and Valentina Mora in McAllen, Tx. Mr. Mora served his country in the US Army during WWII and was awarded the purple heart. Mr. Mora worked with McAllen ISD in the Transportation Department, retired in December 2007. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Juliana Mora; daughters Jessica M. (Eduardo) Sandoval and Julissa Mora. Additional survivors include sons Frank (Debbie) Mora of Ontario Canada, Juan (Connie) Mora, Rafael Mora and Luis (Janet) Mora, and daughter Carmen (Antonio) Estrada, of McAllen, TX, and sister Gloria Mora, of McAllen, TX. Also left to cherish his memory are 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Military services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. by VFW Post 8788 and a rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen, TX. Funeral service will be on Friday, September 27, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen, TX.
