NOE G. GALVAN McALLEN - Noe G. Galvan, Sr. , age 80, a resident of McAllen, Texas, Passed away on Monday November 12, 2012. Mr. Galvan is survived by his four children, Norma I. Gonzales (Joe) of Alvin, Texas; Irma I. Bowers (Doug) of Albuquerque, NM; Noe Galvan, Jr. (Barbara) of Albuquerque, NM; and Jaime Galvan of Las Cruces, NM, as well as his long time companion, Linda Gonzalez. Mr. Galvan is also survived by his five grandchildren, Sandra G. Reaves of Houston, Texas; Jason, Aaron, and Kristen Bowers of Albuquerque , NM, and Justin Galvan of Albuquerque, NM; as well as three great-grandchildren, one brother Abel Galvan; two sisters, Elia Ortega and Elva Hinojosa. He is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Galvan and mother, Isabel G. Galvan; sister, Nimfas G. Rivas and brother Benjamin N. Galvan. Mr. Galvan served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. A Funeral service will be held on Friday November 16, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Rivera Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen.
