MIGUEL BARRERA Obituary
MISSION - Miguel "Mike" Angel Barrera, 50, born September 15, 1961, passed away June 24, 2012. Son of Minerva Barrera of Alton, Texas, and Juan Barrera of McAllen, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Juan Jose Barrera and his grandparents: Antonio Rodriguez, Anita Trevino Rodriguez, Pablo Barrera and Concepcion Ybarra de Barrera.
He is survived by his son, Michael Allan Barrera, his brother Marco (Virginia) Barrera. His sister Dora B. Lopez, Step-sister Zoraida B Hernandez. (Raul); six nephews, Juan Miguel, Mark Anthony, Noe Barrera, Eli, Angel Lopez & Raul Alejandro Hernandez; a niece Brianna Nichole Lopez.
Mike was a devoted son, father, uncle and friend. He will be remembered as a responsible and kind-hearted individual that was always there for his family and friends. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Best Friend & Compadre-David Garza.
Visitation was held yesterday, June 28, 2012 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be held today, June 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
