JOSE A. "JOE" SAENZ Obituary
JOSE "JOE" A. SAENZ McALLEN - We are saddened to announce that our dear son and brother, Jose "Joe" A. Saenz, passed away on Sunday night. Joe worked for McAllen City Hall for many years, and most recently served as Executive Director of the McAllen Housing Authority. Upon graduating from McAllen High School, Joe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas Pan American. He was also very involved with the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, the City of McAllen Community Development Council as well as serving on various local boards. He enjoyed playing golf, going to sporting events, specifically football, baseball, and basketball. He traveled regularly to visit family and friends and loved planning and conducting excursions and tours into Mexico. He made a lot of friends along the way. His kindness, generosity, and warmth touched us all. He is survived by his parents Emilio and Josefina Saenz, four sisters- Ana Maria, Sylvia, Bertha, Rose, and five brothers- Juan (Asenat), Rick, Sam, Roman (Carmen), and Daniel (Yuri) Saenz. We cordially invite friends and family to join us in celebrating Joe's life. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service on Friday the 23rd at 10:00 a.m. (with an early visitation at 9) at Kreidler Funeral Home 314 N. 10th St., McAllen, Texas. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has decided to set up the Jose A.
