JULIA BADDERS Obituary

JULIA ANN "JUDY" BADDERS
McALLEN - Julia Ann Badders, a daughter given by the Lord to John and Arlene Corner, was born in Illinois in February of 1945 and walked through the gates of Heaven into the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2009.
The span of her earthly pilgrimage was 64 years. Her last words spoken to her beloved husband and friend, The Rev. John D. Badders Jr., were "I love you".
Today we rejoice in the knowledge that she has passed the barrier of time as we know it and is forever at home with the Savior. She was married to John on May 3, 1981.
Together, for more than 28 years, they experienced the changing scenes of life in a joyous and fruitful companionship, which the Lord had entrusted to them.
Judy was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in McAllen, Texas, where her husband is the Rector. She showed unwavering support and love throughout John's ministry in the church. She also enjoyed being an Altar Guild member, preparing the Lord's Table, as well as a being a devoted member of The Daughters of the King.
Family members continuing to serve the Lord on earth along with her husband John include: Mrs. Arlene Corner, mother; Mrs. Michelle (sister) and Mr. Charlie Schlinke, Drs. Dawn (daughter) and Joe Ontiveros; Hannah and Sophia Ontiveros (grandchildren); Mr. Brent (son) and Linda Badders; Mr. and Mrs. John Badders Sr. (father and mother in-law); Mr. David and Cindy Bednar (brother and sister in-law).
Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." John 14:25-26
Funeral Service - Monday, 4:00 p.m., September 21, 2009, St. John's Episcopal Church, 2500 N. 10th Street, McAllen, Texas.

Judy was a dear friend and bible study partner. I miss her so much! She always spoke so beautifully of her husband. My favorite memory is when she told me that her husband was the most spiritual man she ever knew. Her love for her husband and faith was very contagious! Thank you, God, for her life.

My sympathy in your loss. Judy and I were friends as children, when she would visit her grandparents on the Five Mile Creek. All my memories of Judy are good ones.

Judy was a very special lady who brought so much joy and love to her family and friends, She especially brought so much happiness into the life of my brother, John, who called Judy his "soul mate." We will all miss her so very much, but we know she is resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
