Obituary Condolences

ADRIANA RODRIGUEZ ANICETO Our beloved mother, Adriana Rodriguez Aniceto, was called home by our heavenly Father on Easter Sunday April 20, 2014. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver, Diana was best known for her witty sense of humor, quirky one liners, love of the beach, music, dancing and adoration of her family. She loved hosting family gatherings and playing with her grandchildren. Always wanting to ensure the success of her family, she emphasized the importance of a good education, encouraging her children and grandchildren to dream big. Her playful nature always shined, just like her smile. While juggling the role of mom, wife and cook, she still managed to be available to her friends and her community, ready to lend a hand, a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. She loved being around people and helping others. She volunteered at Village Care Nursing Home for 17 years, receiving awards for her exemplary service. She is survived by her mother, Blanca Aurora Rodriguez, her children: Julia M. Aniceto, Francisco (Adriana) Aniceto, Adrian (Cindy) Aniceto, Virgilio (Patti) Aniceto, and Jeannette (Andy) Weil, her brother, Francisco (Dora) Rodriguez, 10 grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco A. Aniceto, her father, Virgilio Z. Rodriguez, and her sister, Julia Rodriguez Campos. Honorary pall bearers are the EMT medics who transported and cared for her with great love and dedication the last seven years: Daniel Dennett, J. Luis Gutierrez II and Jose L. Hernandez. We would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with the love her life, Frank Aniceto, where they continue their journey together, laughing and dancing once more. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday, April 25, 2014 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 am Saturday, April 26, 2014 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home of McAllen. www.riverafuneralhomes.net Sign the guest book at www.themonitor.com/obituaries
