CARMEN V. TREVINO McALLEN - Carmen V. Trevino went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2014. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Carmen was born in Pharr, TX on June 15, 1935. She is preceded in death by her father, Santiago Vielma; mother, Rosalia Vielma; brother, Eusebio Vielma; and sister, Rita V. Gamez. Carmen is survived by her best friend of 60 years and husband of 43 years, Alfredo S. Trevino; four daughters, Sylvia Rita Trevino, Olivia del Carmen de la Rosa (Dr. Ramiro), Monica Belinda Trevino, and Blanca Estela Trevino; grandsons, Diego Joaquin de la Rosa and Pablo Gael de la Rosa; brother, Raymundo Vielma (Francisca); sister, Maria de la Luz Vielma; and numerous cherished nephews and nieces. Carmen is a 1954 PSJA graduate and retired after 35 years of federal government service, of which 25 years she served with US Customs. She was an active volunteer in the Legion of Mary at St. Margaret's Catholic Church and first communion classes in Pharr, TX until she moved to McAllen; where she continued her church and community involvement volunteering at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to The . Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 with a rosary recited at 7pm at Kreidler Funeral Home.
