Obituary Condolences

TORIBIO SEGUNDO MISSION - Toribio Segundo, 67, of Mission, Texas, a good man, passed into the bosom of our Lord's love on Monday, October 14, 2013. Toribio served his country with pride and honor in the United States Air Force; he served in Vietnam and was a proud Veteran of our military forces. He retired from the Missouri Pacific railroad where he worked many years and as an engineer throughout south Texas and San Antonio. Toribio, known to many as "Chore", was born in Mission, Texas to Guadalupe Segundo and Antolina Tijerina Segundo, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Jose Guadalupe Jr., Hector (Peachy) and Carlos (Chale). Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, San Juanita Borrego. He was the proud father of Hector (Sandy), Ray (Sandra), Antonio (Amanda) and Anna Lisa (Marco Ramirez). He is also survived by six grandchildren, Tori, Emma, Isabella, David, Eliya, and Ally Segundo. His brothers Luis (Vicky), Pedro (Linda), Miguel (Rosie), Raul (Anna) Rogelio (Dalia), and Fernando (Linda). In addition he is mourned by many nieces and nephews, friends of his children and grandchildren, friends of his brothers, cousins and his great aunts Maria and Ofelia and great uncle Pancho. Some have described our father as the anchor of the family, a second father, and others as a mentor or simply as a good friend. He was all those things and so much more to us. He will be greatly missed and his memory cherished by many. Visitation for Toribio"Chore" Segundo will begin, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission at 219 S. Mayberry. Rosary services will be held there on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7:00. Holy Mass will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on 923 Matamoros Street, Mission, Texas and burial will be at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran's Cemetery in Mission on 2520 S.
