Dear Linda,
Toby & I are shocked to learn of Chuck's passing. He was an inspiration to me as a Pitt faculty member, and will always remember him for his insight and directness in dealing with academic and other issues.

Created fresh energy and excitement to our Engineering Board of Visitors at PITT. Brought out the best in everyone and my wife and I truly enjoyed our group's social interaction with Chuck and Linda. A sad day.

Like others, I was shocked to hear the sad news. I enjoyed his straight shooting style and leadership abilities in the time I had the honor of working with him here at UTPA. We have lost one of the good ones. Condolences to friends and family.

Dr. Sorber was a caring, knowledgeable, and strong leader for UT-Arlington during his time there. He was very open about how much he loved his family, and I admired his priorities very much. Please accept my sympathy. You are in my prayers.

Probably one of the nicest people I ever had the privilege of knowing and working with and for. Jo and I are both saddened by his sudden passing. He is a great loss to everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.

Dear Linda, Kimberly, Stephen and Family,
May the peace which surpasses all understanding be yours. Chuck was a wonderful, indeed special, man. He will be missed.

Chuck was a special man--talented and kind. I recall fondly being called "kid" and receiving invaluable mentoring and advice from him while he was interim president at UT Arlington. He made a real impact here, on the institution, but most of all on the people who had the honor of interacting with him. My thoughts are with the family at the challenging time. In sympathy, Dana Dunn

Linda, Kim, & Stephen our hearts are breaking with the sudden loss of Chuck. He was such a force of nature, brilliant, steady and a good good person. He was and will always be a dear dear friend. It is hard to find answers when one is taken so suddenly. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We will see you on Sunday.
All our love - Dale & Debra
