Alberto Soliz

Edinburg - Alberto Soliz, 65, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Edinburg Regional Medical Center in Edinburg. He was born on Sunday, August 26, 1951 in Taylor, Texas to Ignacio Soliz and Irene Sauceda Soliz. He is preceded in death by his father.

Alberto is survived by his loving wife of 39 years; Juana "Juanita" P. Soliz, children; Cristella (Jesus) Medrano, Juan Luis Alberto (Yesenia) Soliz, Erica Ivette Soliz, Denit Soliz and Alberto Soliz, Jr., mother; Irene S. Soliz, brothers; Armando, Rene, Abel, Ruben and Ignacio Soliz, Jr., sisters; Chavela Castillo, Anabel Soliz and Yolanda Garcia, 12 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Alberto worked for his father's business Soliz & Son Trucking for many years and enjoyed playing the guitar and pool. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who knew him.

The Soliz family will receive family today, November 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Catholic burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
