Breidenstein, Stella “Sally” M.; age 92; of Mt. Pleasant; passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Woodland Hospice. A Funeral Mass for Stella will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Held presiding. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the mass begins. Family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the church or Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Stella was born September 27, 1922, in Grand Rapids, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Suchocki) Opacki. She owned and operated the Bird Bar and Grill (The Flamingo) for more than 35 years. She was a very generous person. She always made room in her home for strangers during the holidays who had nowhere to go. Stella is survived by her three children, Mary (John) Jaffee of Indianapolis, Barbara (Bob) Elmore of Mt. Pleasant and David Breidenstein of Mt. Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Lois Breidenstein of Rosebush; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Breidenstein of Davidson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Dan Breidenstein; brothers, Eddie and Al Opacki; sister, Dorothy Dzierwa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Berne (Nina) Breidenstein, Clarence (Gretchen) Breidenstein, Gene (Ruth) Breidenstein, Helen (Bob) Sowle, Mary (Bill) Ardner; brother-in-law, Jim Breidenstein, and sister-in-law, Stella Breidenstein. Bentley, Susan E.; age 64; of Clare; passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015; at the Woodland Hospice House of Mt. Pleasant. Susan was born on March 31, 1950, in Wyandotte. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Bentley on May 26, 1973. Susan moved from Trenton to the Stevenson Lake area of Isabella County 10 years ago. While in Trenton, she worked as a tutor in the Trenton Public School District. Susan was the co-coordinator of the Rosebush Emergency Assistance Program; she belonged to and attended the Rosebush United Methodist Church. Susan loved to work in her flower garden, to refinish furniture, and being a grandmother. Susan is survived by her husband, Ken; her children, Danielle (Rick) Voltz of Presque Isle, Benjamin (Rose) Bentley of Stow, Ohio, and Rebecca (Christine) Bentley of Holly; her grandchildren, Madeline, Ryan, Micah, Leah, Terah, and Adrian. Susan was predeceased by her brother, Robert; and sister, Sherry Lynn. Services for Susan will take place at the Rosebush United Methodist Church on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joe Beavan, officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church Thursday.
