Davis, Danny Ray* - Shepherd  
Davis, Danny Ray; age 65; of Shepherd, Michigan; passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 26, 2016. Danny was born on March 15, 1951 in Alma, Michigan, the son of Jack Junior and Joyce Lorraine (Parks) Davis. He married the former Sandra Kay Jewell on May 7, 1971 in Ithaca, Michigan. Sandra passed away on January 12, 2012. Danny was retired after twenty seven years of service from Randall Manufacturing where he worked in all areas of the factory including his last job in the stockroom. Danny was a member of the United Steel Workers, the UAW and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Weidman. He enjoyed panning for gold, mushroom hunting, reading, watching all kinds of sports and was a former hunter and golfer. Survivors include his children, Danny Ray Junior Davis, Marcus Davis, Michael Davis and Jacqueline C. Fairchild; his mother, Joyce Davis; 12 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Dennis Davis, Dale Davis and Darrin Davis; and three sisters, Peg Harcourt, Penny Robbins ad Paula Frost. He was preceded in death by his wife, father, and brother, David. Memorial Services are planned for a later date. Friends desiring to remember Danny with a memorial are asked to consider the family or a charity of the donor’s choice. Duncan-Rejto, Helen Louise* - Alma  
Duncan-Rejto, Helen Louise; age 61; of Alma; went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Gratiot. She was born November 18, 1954 in Oneida, Tennessee; the daughter of Rev. Mountie and Victoria Thelma (West) Duncan. From an early age, Louise loved to attend church, sing hymns and listen to her father preach the word of God. Louise made her profession of faith at age 10 and was Baptized by her father. Louise had a kind and generous heart. She loved all animals, especially cats. When it came to humans, Louise could see the positive even in the grimmest situations. She offered endless support and encouragement to all around her. Throughout her life, Louise volunteered with many organizations that distribute food and other essentials to individuals in need. Recently she served on the Board of Directors of the Community Compassion Network.Louise had a lifelong love of learning and teaching creative and performing arts. As a young woman Louise loved crafts and sewing and was honored to play violin in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She went on to attend Michigan State University and The University of Arizona. Louise studied many disciplines within the creative and performing arts and taught them as well. She loved fostering the creative spark in children; she led school programs giving lessons in acting, weaving, mask making and many other crafts. Most recently Louise delighted in her participation in the local Foster Grandparent program. Louise is survived by her daughters, Heather (Victor Martinez) Rejto, Natalie Nicole (Alex Warner) Rejto; grandson, Ansel Warner; her mother, Thelma Victoria Duncan; three siblings, Donna (Dean) Watson, Wesley Duncan, Leo Drake Duncan; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. In honoring Louise’s wishes a cremation has taken place. Louise will be laid to rest in the Duncan Family Cemetery in Oneida, Tennessee. A Memorial Service for Helen Louise Duncan Rejto will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Louis Church of Christ at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes the family.
