Catherine Marie Pasch, age 89, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Beal City died October 24, 2013 at the Prestige Center. She fought a long courageous battle with Alzheimers.
A Funeral Mass for Catherine will take place Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Held officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Beal City. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel and at the church on the day of service from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the families wishes. Envelopes will be available at the church and the funeral chapel.
Catherine was born in Isabella County, the daughter of John and Anna (Reihl) Faber on September 14, 1924. She was united in marriage to Clarence Pasch on September 26, 1942 in Beal City.
Catherine enjoyed all the years her and Clarence spent on the farm, the great times with her family and friends at Littlefield Lake, including all the fish fries, dancing and playing cards. She was a member of the Women of the Moose
. She retired from Central Michigan University.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Russell of Weidman and Sharon (Bob) Spence of Mt. Pleasant. Several grandkids and great grandkids. One brother Ed (Joann) Faber of Shepherd and one sister-in-law Shirley Faber of Clare.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, son Tom, grandson Jeff Bollman, son-in-law Ray Russell, brothers, Gerald, Frank, Jim, and sisters Louise, and Magedline.
The family would like to give a special thank you to her second family, her caregivers at the Prestige Center. They so lovingly took care of all her needs for the past several years. She was their special "Katie Bug" and they made her last years so comforting and Great Lakes Hospice.
