Kenneth Allen Burr, age 74, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 the Laurels.
Funeral Services for Kenneth will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jon Van Dop officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 16 from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Kenneth was born on June 14, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Leon and Gladys (Bushong) Burr. He married the love of his life, Connie Moore on October 22, 1960. Kenneth worked as a heavy equipment operator for Fisher's Central Concrete for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, wood working, and operation machinery. There is nothing more he took pride in than his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kenneth we also greatly enjoyed spending time drinking coffee with friends at Meijers.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie; four children, Mandy Mullet, Dave (Karen) Burr, Scott Burr, and Amy Burr, all of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Savannah (Louis) Lopez of Florida, Logan (Sophie Fish) Burr, Joshua Mullet, and Marissa Mullet, all of Mt. Pleasant; four great grandchildren, Aida Lopez, Adrian Lopez, Kristina Burr, and William "Bill" Fish; brothers, Leon (Irene) Burr of Shepherd and Chuck (Gloria) Burr of Edmore; many nieces and nephews; and special friends and family members, Larry Machuta, Linda and Gale Raymond, Marianne and Dick Lewis, and the many other people that supported him during his battle with cancer.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Marcella Burr and Erma Mogg.
